Touring on an Electric Bicycle

I left Paris in May 2018, travelling on an electric assisted bicycle.

I have cycled 98,000 kilometers/61,000 miles in 40 countries.

The average distance covered in a day of cycling is 70 miles/113 kilometers. I regularly stop for a few days in interesting locations.

With the use of Google Maps and Google Earth, I plan my route in order to ride on backroads, avoiding highways as much as possible.

My route is planned so I can visit interesting cities, monuments, beautiful natural places or sites listed on the Unesco World Heritage list.
